max mandelis
Efrosini Mandelis grew up in Syracuse, in upstate New York, born to immigrants from the island of Kefalonia in Greece. When she started school, the Americans changed her name to Francine, which never resonated so when her basketball team gave her the nickname “Max," she embraced it. Of course, the Hellenes still call her Ευφροσυνη.
Max graduated cum laude from Boston College and attended exhange programs in San Francisco and London. She relocated from Boston to Atlanta in 1995, building a supportive community and a good life. Max lives in Ansley Park with her rescue dog
and usually gets around town by bicycle. She enjoys peace & quiet, practicing yoga, hugging trees, loving on animals, eating well, exploring places near and far, studying the enneagram, connecting with friends and walking in the sunlight of the spirit.
