max mandelis

Efrosini Mandelis grew up in the suburbs of Syracuse in central New York State, born the summer of 1969 to immigrants from the island of Kefalonia in Greece. When she enrolled in school, they changed her name to Francine which did not resonate. When her basketball team nicknamed her “Max," she embraced it. Of course, the Hellenes still call her Ευφροσυνη. She graduated cum laude in 1991 from Boston College and attended exhange programs in San Francisco & London. Max relocated from Boston to Atlanta , building a good life and surrounded by a supportive community. Since 1997, she's been working as a commercial real estate broker for creative industries and adaptive reuse properties. She is an advocate for small businesses and affordable commercial space. Max is civically engaged, encouraging Atlanta developers to focus on sustainability, good design, equity, urban planning and the impact on surrounding community. Max gets around town by bicycle. She lives in Ansley Park with her rescue dog. She enjoys peace & quiet, eating well, connecting with friends, studying the enneagram and exploring places near & far. She loves on animals, hugs trees, practices yoga and walks in the sunlight of the spirit.
